Wild Webelos Weekend

September 17-18, 2005

Who:             Second year Webelos Scouts with a parent; Troop 50 Patrols.

What:                 Webelos will receive instruction on knife, axe and fire building, and participate in exciting scouting events. Scouts will demonstrate camping and cooking skills.

Where:              Woodland Trail Scout Reservation (Buzzard’s Roost Campsite), Camden, Ohio

Depart:             Please arrive at Woodland Trails at 1 PM, Saturday. Activities will begin after tents are up (2:00 PM). If you need to arrive later, please indicate on the bottom of this form.

Return:            We will break camp around 10 AM, Sunday. If you need to leave earlier, please indicate that as well.

Cost:                    $10 per person in advance if eating or camping. Cash or check to Troop 50. No cost if staying only for the afternoon.

Provided:   Troop 50 will provide Saturday’s Dinner, Evening Cracker Barrel and Sunday Breakfast. Webelos Troop 50

                        will provide Saturday’s Dinner, Evening Cracker Barrel and Sunday Breakfast. Webelos who stay the night

                        will receive a special patch from the troop. Please see the attached list for what to bring.

Permission/Waiver Form:

_________________________________ has my permission to go on the Sep 17-18, 2005 campout with members of Boy Scout Troop 50 of Springboro, OH, and participate in all activities. I acknowledge that I have read the following waiver in its entirety, that I understand it, and that I agree to be legally bound by its terms.

I will pay for the trip 2 weeks in advance by either cash or check. In the event that my son is not able to attend, I realize that I will not be refunded the commitment fee.

I understand that the activities involved in this trip carry the risk of personal injury. In consideration of the benefits to be derived, and in view of the fact that the Boy Scouts of America is a nonprofit, educational institution, membership in which is voluntary, and having full confidence that all reasonable precautions will be taken to insure the safety and well-being of my son on this activity, I agree to and support his participation, and I waive any and all claims against the leaders and their assistants on this trip, and the officers, agents, and representatives of the Boy Scouts of America.

In case of medical emergency (and in the event that a parent/guardian cannot be reached) I give my permission for my child to be treated at the nearest medical facility.

If my son does not behave in a manner consistent with the ideals of Scouting, I agree to bring him home.

Turn LEFT onto GASPER SOMERS RD (0.2 miles)
