Look to this page as your link to the many different Cub Scout camping and outdoor adventure experiences. We hope to provide you with descriptions of all of the camping experiences available to cub scouts sponsored by the nearby Miami Valley and Dan Beard Boy Scout Councils. You will find links to flyers of upcoming events; directions to camps; descriptions and past experiences of camps; what to bring; and maybe a story about past camping adventures.
We
realize no cub scout can attend every possible camping event. A cub scout
in Pack 730 is presented with many different camping opportunities. Which is
the best? Which is the right one to go to? Are any of the campouts required?
If I can only go to one , which one should it be?? Fun With Son ? Adventure
Camp? Jambarees? Camperees? Canoe trips? Zoo and aquarium sleepovers?
Crossovers? Day camps? Family camps? Basketball and football camps? How
will I know which one is best for me??? Are they all free? How much do they
cost? What do I need to bring? Can I bring my gameboy? Do I have to bring my
parents? What are we going to do all day? Is it boring stuff? Is it true
that cub scouts never sleep on campouts? Is this where master jedi warriors
train? Was that a bear or just my dad snoring?? Why did that raccoon eat my
snickers bar? Do we get a patch or tshirt for doing this? Can I count this for
any cub scout achievement? Is this going to hurt? Are we there yet? When can
we go home??? So to help you make a decision about which camping activities to
attend, here is a priority listing of what we believe are the most beneficial
camping experiences for cub scouts of Pack 730. You can find out more
information about each camping activity by clicking on the link to each event.
