Pack Events

Look to this page as your link to the many different events the Pack typically sponsors or participates in. We hope
to provide you with descriptions of each of these events. We realize no cub scout can attend every possible event. Our cub
scouts are presented with many different opportunities. So to help you make a decision about which activities to attend,
here is a listing of what we believe are the most beneficial experiences for cub scouts in our Pack. You can find

| Pack Meetings | This is the one time each month that the entire pack meets. During these meetings any boys that have completed 1 or more requirements will be recognized. We also use this time to share information about coming events. Pack meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month. Durning November and December the are held the second Wednesday of the month. | |
| Popcorn | This is the packs main fund raiser. This is what pays for a number of the activities that your scout will participate in. Popcorn sales begin in September with final delivery of popcorn to our buyers being made around Thanksgiving. | |
| Christmas in Springboro | Each year the City of Springboro sponsors "Christmas in Old Springboro". The scouts participate in the parade Saturday morning. They may just walk in the parade or they may build a float to display in the parade. | The event is held the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. |
| Raingutter Regatta | The Raingutter Regatta is an annual event where the boys assemble a sail boat kit and race it against other boys in the pack. | This event is typically held in February. |
| Blue-N-Gold | This is the packs annual recognition program for boys that are Webelos II. These are the boys that are graduating from the pack. Any boys that have earned their Arrow of Light will be recognized during the ceremony. | This event is typically held in February. |
| Pinewood Derby | The pinewood derby is arguably the scouts favorite event of the year. Each boy has the opportunity to race a car against there peers that they have designed and built. | This event is typically held in March. |
| Green Up Day | This is an annual event put on by Ceasars Creek State Park. Volunteers from the community come together under the direction of the park Rangers to beautify the for the coming season. The participants may be spreading mulch, picking up branches and trash or raking out gravel. It depends on what the park needs. Scouts that participate will be able to complete several requirements toward rank advancement. |

| Rocket Rally | This is an opportunity for your scout to build an launch a model rocket. | This event is typically held in mid July. |
